A Tourism Destination
Visitors are often looking for more than a shopping experience and Amos Pewter provides them with a unique one! Every year, thousands of people from around the world come to Mahone Bay to visit Amos Pewter. For many, it has become an annual tradition. Here they are introduced to techniques, both old and new, used in making the pewter that is sold in our adjoining store. Interpretive panels tell the history of pewter. The play area for children is a great hit with kids and adults alike. Take a moment and wander through our seaside garden, take a photo of the famous Three Churches and enjoy the view of sailboats bobbing at anchor. A visit to our store and workshop is popular with people attending meetings and conventions. We are happy to arrange customized tours. Whether arriving by bus, cruise ship, car, boat or bicycle, we will do our best to make your visit a memorable one. Inspired by our coastal surroundings, our pewter products make wonderful gifts to take home for you or your friends.
